The Makeover
This is a story of transformation and evolution. After 10 years Lucidchart started showing signs of aging with its outdated UI and unclear Information Architecture especially when stacked against new competitors, raising major concerns for business. I solved this business problem by designing a more coherent and aesthetically pleasing user experience.
Doc Management & Search
One of Lucidchart’s biggest enterprise clients, a logistics company headquartered in Germany wanted custom features built to promote accountability with end users, allow organization to have more control over documents, empower admins to standardize documentation and improve document discoverability.
Themes
Themes is a Lucidchart feature that allows users to change the look n feel of their diagram with one click. Sounds pretty impressive right? But in reality the experience was uninspiring and lacked polish. Data showed that users who looked for themes were 3 times more likely to pay for a license. So we went to work and redesigned the otherwise bland feature to be more usable, delightful, and confidence inspiring.
Animation in UX
Drove initiative to introduce animation into a static design system. This meant defining a body language for the product that matches core brand values, creating a template for deliverables for engineering hand-off.
